About

Birth Sense Midwifery

Continuity of care – you’ll see me every time, building genuine trust and confidence.

Time and space – appointments that allow for honest conversations and preparation, not ticking boxes.

Balanced care – blending science, intuition, and experience to guide and support you safely.

Respect for your choices – whether you plan a home birth or want a gentler, more individualised experience.

Support beyond birth – because those early weeks matter just as much.

Hi, Im Rachel…

My journey into midwifery began with becoming a mum myself, and those early experiences shaped everything about the care I offer today.

I know first-hand how transformative pregnancy and birth can be when you feel truly seen, supported, and informed. That’s why Birth Sense Midwifery was created — to offer families in Cheshire personalised pregnancy care, calm continuity of care, and support that goes far beyond what’s possible in a rushed system.

I’ve always worked as a home birth midwife in community roles and continuity models, drawn to the kind of care where we slow down, listen, and make decisions together. As a private midwife, I work with a small number of families, ensuring you receive consistent, evidence-based support at home, in the hospital, or wherever you choose to give birth.

The heart of my work is simple: honest connection, compassionate guidance, and a relationship that helps you feel confident and grounded every step of the way.

Community Groups…

Community groups give expectant and new parents a supportive space to connect, ask questions, and share real experiences — helping reduce isolation and boosting confidence during pregnancy, birth, and the early postnatal period. They’re a powerful source of pregnancy support, new parent wellbeing, and postnatal community connection in Cheshire.
